The benchmark equity indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended Tuesday’s trading session in positive territory. The Nifty 50 closed 3.05 points higher to settle at 22,335.70 points. While S&P BSE Sensex closed 165.32 points higher to settle at 73,667.96 points. Nifty Bank pulled back 45.45 points or 0.10% to settle at 47,282.40.

Shares of Southwest Airlines (NYSE:LUV) dropped more than 6.7% in premarket trading Tuesday after the low-cost carrier announced it will cut capacity and adjust schedules, mainly for the latter half of 2024.

Let this leverage effect and all the unsecured loan book issues which are all happening fundamentally, correct for some time and then look into quality mid and smallcap or else do to avoid them very much.” Rudramurthy further says: “ Pick up stocks like Tata Chemicals, Tata Power, HDFC Bank, IndiGo and avoid mid and smallcap and I see some more correction possible in mid and smallcap and only someone who can understand shorting well can even look at opportunity to short this market.” Looking at the markets in the last couple of days just not understanding what trend one should watch out for because in the morning, we saw a bit of a redness, then the Nifty again managed to jump up to the green 22,450 levels. Marico Ltd. slipped 0.86 per cent to Rs 505.0 in Tuesday's trade as of 12:02PM (IST). It hit a high of Rs 510.0 and low of Rs 504.7 during the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 595.0 and a low of Rs 462.95. The return on equity for the stock stood at 34.66 per cent. About 12,288 shares have changed hands on the counter so far.

Lupin Ltd. slipped 1.95 per cent to Rs 1642.1 in Tuesday's trade as of 12:07PM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 1687.35 and low of Rs 1641.7 during the session.
