UPS Citi FIVE wellness rock Could Modi 3.0 be strikingly different from Modi 2.0? Swaminathan Aiyar explains
Swaminathan Aiyar, Consulting Editor, ET Now, says “the emphasis is on more of the same. The thing is not to be different. The aim of the exercise is saying I am guaranteeing you that I have done so well for you. I am such a fantastic guy, the world looks up to me, I have improved India’s stature in the world, I have defended you against Pakistan, so I am such a great guy. I am giving you more of the same and I am giving my guarantee that I am more of the same. So, the emphasis really is more of the same, I would say, rather than saying how it is different.” Aiyar further says: “In four areas – education, employment, environment, and the police judicial system, major structural reforms are required, but they have not been attempted. And they have not been attempted because they are not easy areas to do. The attempts so far have not got very far. The BJP does not want to rock the boat at this particular point of time, even though it does have the political capital to do so. So, it is not attempting to do structural change in these four very important areas.”

COST UPS Trade Experts War Iran-Israel conflict: Shipping industry set for tougher times ahead due to West Asia tensions, say experts
global maritime industry is set for tougher and more challenging times after Iran ramped up West Asia tensions by launching an unprecedented drone and missile attack on Israel, causing supply chain disruption and increasing the probability of choking shipping routes, experts here have said. Iran's attack on Israel marks a distinct escalation in hostilities by bringing the two nations into direct conflict. Iran and its proxies launched 330 missiles and drones on Israel late on Saturday night in retaliation to an alleged attack by Israel on a diplomatic mission of the Islamic Republic in Damascus on April 1 in which several people, including two top commanders, were killed. There is a concern about the probability of a Persian Gulf shutdown, though many maintain hope of defusing fierce tension in the region, a delegate at the opening of Singapore Maritime Week on Monday, told PTI.

UPS Digital Booking wellness innovations rights sprint Bottoming out on revenue side; running a marathon and a sprint at the same time: TCS Management
K Krithivasan, CEO & MD and NG Subramaniam, COO, TCS, in conversation with ET Now. Krithivasan says: “This quarter we started talking about both AI plus generative AI pipeline, it is about 900 million for us. The revenue numbers, once it becomes material, we would start declaring that number also. But that revenue would be not only directly what you do using generative AI. So much work needs to happen in terms of getting the data ready, in terms of cloud migration as is required. Generative AI is going to have a long tail of other kinds of related work that needs to happen. Subramaniam says: “I would agree, except that one more thing I will add is that we are growth, efficiency, innovation or AI innovation, all happening at the same place, at the same time, and in a way that we are running a marathon and a sprint at the same time.” Is growth back? K Krithivasan: We have been looking at our TCV for the last four quarters. We have been reporting very impressive TCV and we believe that with this TCV, growth has to come back. But we do not know whether it will come in Q1 or Q2. I do not want to make that call. But overall, we believe FY25 would be a better year than FY24.

UPS Waters Remark Election community Rajkot LS seat to remain BJP fortress despite anti-Rupala stir by Rajputs: Analysts
Rupala, the BJP's nominee from Gujarat's Rajkot Lok Sabha seat, is facing agitation by Kshatriya community members, political analysts and voters believe the Union minister will emerge victorious. While the analysts claim Rajkot is an «unbreachable fortress» of the BJP, voters laud the development works done by the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Rupala recently claimed the erstwhile 'maharajas' succumbed to the persecution of foreign rulers, including the Britishers. Despite Rupala's apology, the Kshatriyas, also called Rajputs, see his remarks as an insult to them and have asked the BJP to withdraw his candidature or face defeat in Rajkot, a Patidar-dominated seat considered as BJP's stronghold.
