'I call him bro, visit Dubai twice a month': Sania Mirza's ex-husband Shoaib Malik on his relationship with their son Izhaan
Shoaib Malik recently opened up about his bond with his son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, following his divorce from Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. While Sania has primary custody, Shoaib has emphasized that he remains actively involved in Izhaan’s life, despite public scrutiny over his availability as a father. During a recent appearance on a Pakistani Ramzan show, Shoaib described his relationship with Izhaan as more of a friendship than a traditional father-son bond. He revealed that Izhaan affectionately calls him “bro,” and he reciprocates in the same way, making their dynamic playful and close-knit. He also shared that he makes an effort to visit Dubai twice a month, ensuring that he personally drops Izhaan at school and picks him up during his stay. Sports play a significant role in strengthening their bond. Shoaib expressed that despite the physical distance, he connects with his son almost daily through video calls, where they discuss everything from routine matters to their shared love for sports.

PSG beat Marseille as Montpellier game abandoned due to crowd trouble
Paris Saint-Germain completed a fine week by beating bitter rivals Marseille 3-1 on Sunday to take a big step towards another Ligue 1 title, while the clash between relegation battlers Montpellier and Saint-Etienne was abandoned due to crowd trouble. PSG followed their Champions League victory over Liverpool on Tuesday by getting the better of Marseille at the Parc des Princes in a meeting of the top two in Ligue 1. Ousmane Dembele continued his prolific recent form by scoring the opener and Nuno Mendes made it 2-0 for PSG before half-time, with Pol Lirola's own goal securing victory in the second half after Amine Gouiri had pulled one back. Luis Enrique's side are still unbeaten after 26 games in Ligue 1 this season and now lead Marseille by a mammoth 19 points at the top with eight matches to play. It means PSG could be crowned champions for the 11th time in 13 seasons during the next round of games on the last weekend in March.

NASA, SpaceX gear up for Crew-9’s homecoming with Sunita Williams, Butch Wilmore on March 18
NASA and Elon Musk-owned SpaceX are preparing for the return of the Crew-9 mission from the International Space Station (ISS), targeting an earlier-than-expected evening touchdown on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. After evaluating weather conditions off Florida’s coast on Sunday, mission managers decided to aim for an earlier return than originally planned, with favourable conditions expected. The new timing still allows the astronauts to complete their handover duties aboard the ISS and offers a bit of flexibility in case weather conditions worsen later in the week. The Crew-9 astronauts—NASA’s Nick Hague, Suni Williams, and Butch Wilmore, along with Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov—have spent several months conducting important research on the ISS. As such, their return will include bringing back valuable scientific data gathered during their mission. Williams and Wilmore have been stranded on the ISS for nine months due to technical issues and several unsuccessful attempts to bring them back.

At least 37 dead after tornadoes, wildfires and dust storms wreak havoc across multiple US states
tornadoes, blinding dust storms and fast-moving wildfires this weekend, leaving at least 37 people dead. Hailey Hart and her fiance Steve Romero hunkered down with their three huskies inside their 1994 Toyota Celica as a tornado ripped apart their home Saturday in Tylertown, Mississippi. Romero said he prayed out loud and hugged Hart as the car rolled onto its side, windows shattering, before it landed on its wheels again. After the twister passed, they could hear people nearby screaming for help. «It was a bad dream come true,» Romero said. Next door, Hart's grandparents crawled out from the rubble of their destroyed house after they sought shelter in a bathroom as falling trees collapsed the roof.

As AI nurses reshape hospital care, human nurses are pushing back
With her calm, warm demeanor, Ana has been trained to put patients at ease — like many nurses across the U.S. But unlike them, she is also available to chat 24-7, in multiple languages, from Hindi to Haitian Creole. That's because Ana isn't human, but an artificial intelligence program created by Hippocratic AI, one of a number of new companies offering ways to automate time-consuming tasks usually performed by nurses and medical assistants.

United Breweries bets on premium beer as key states may spoil the summer party

United Breweries Ltd., one of India’s largest beer makers, is betting on its premium brands like Kingfisher Ultra to drive growth even as rising taxes in key states, including Telangana, Karnataka, and Rajasthan, threaten to offset a potential boost from a prolonged summer. After disruptions during the general elections last fiscal impacted production and shipments across the sector, an early and longer summer this year is “going to be more helpful as it will lead to more consumption from a macro standpoint", said Vivek Gupta, managing director and CEO of Dutch parent Heineken-controlled United Breweries.

Trump's move to create a BTC reserve might make crypto lucrative, but should you fall for the hype, and ignore regulatory confusion?
Donald Trump to create a “strategic Bitcoin reserve and digital assets stockpile” has sent the crypto enthusiasts in India into a tizzy. Hoping to cash in on what they believe could be the next big rally, they have led a surge in trading volumes, with CoinDCX reporting a 36% hike and Mudrex registering a 30% spike. While the reserve will only include Bitcoin, already owned by the US government, not acquired or actively bought, the digital asset stockpile will consist of tokens other than the Bitcoin—Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), and Cardano (ADA), which will also not be acquired. The announcement is significant because it’s the first time that Bitcoin has been recognised as a reserve asset of the US government. “This sends a powerful message to the world about how blockchain and digital assets are becoming mainstream,” says Sumit Gupta, co-founder of CoinDCX. Agrees Edul Patel, Co-founder of Mudrex: “There is a strong future for crypto and Bitcoin globally, not just in the US.”
