PepsiCo India aims to make 1 million women economically independent in 3 years
Mint. “Over the last 3-4 years, we have upped the number of women in the sales and marketing division from 5-6% to 20%."The program, called ‘RevolutioNari–A Revolution for the Nari’, is aimed at empowering 1 million women nationwide, in partnership with a consortium of organizations and spanning 1,000 days, PepsiCo said in a statement.In the first phase of the programme, PepsiCo India will focus on undergraduate women in multiple disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and agriculture.

₹310- ₹341 per share, valuing the transaction between $996 million and $1.1 billion, according to a term sheet seen by Mint.Morgan Stanley, BofA Securities, Jefferies, and BNP Paribas will manage the sale which is slated to open on Wednesday.Mint had reported on Tuesday that Vodafone Group Plc, which owns 21.5% through various entities in Indus Towers, is looking to sell its stake in the mobile tower provider. Private equity (PE) firm I Squared Capital and alternative investment firm Stonepeak were reported to be in the fray as buyers.Indus Towers is India’s largest telecom tower provider with over 219,736 towers covering all 22 telecom circles.

Digital loans up 49% in FY24 by value, Rs 1.46 lakh cr disbursed: Industry body
disbursements at Rs 1.46 lakh crore in financial year 2023-24. According to Fintech Association for Consumer Empowerment (FACE), the number of loans disbursed grew by 35 per cent to over 10 crore borrowings in FY24. It can be noted that the Reserve Bank has been public with its concerns on some of the practices adopted by such lenders, and has also formulated draft guidelines for their operations. «The digital lending sector is responsibly driving ahead with a sharp focus on customer-centricity, compliance, risk management and sustainable business models,» FACE's chief executive Sugandh Saxena said in a statement

Export duty on onions to stay as domestic prices recover
onion prices in the domestic markets have almost doubled in the last one month, said trade sources who met commerce minister Piyush Goyal in the capital on Tuesday. «The government is in the mood to observe the movement of onion prices for a couple more weeks before it takes any decision on the export duty,» said an onion trader, who requested not to be identified. The average rate of onions at the benchmark Lasalgaon APMC was Rs 28/kg on Tuesday, up 40% during the last 15 days and double of what it was exactly a month ago.
