New Delhi: Government pushed through its busy legislative agenda for the monsoon session by introducing and clearing few more bills including the Jan Vishwas and Offshore Areas Mineral Amendment Bills on Thursday. Telangana Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari on Thursday said the administration has been put on alert as heavy rains continued to lash the state. The downpour led to inundation of low-lying areas and damage to roads at several places in the state with rivulets and other water bodies overflowing. There is every likelihood of the flood water reaching third danger mark, steps are being taken to shift people living in low lying areas to relief camps, an official release said.

Amid incessant rainfall in the Delhi-NCR region, the Yamuna water level in the national capital once again breached the danger mark on Thursday. The water level of Yamuna river was recorded at 205.98 meters at 4 pm on Thursday. Earlier in the day, it was recorded at 205.83 meters at 10:00 am, officials said.
