Turno, an electric vehicle distribution and financing startup, has raised $6 million from impact investor British International Investment (BII) and venture capital firms Quona Capital, Stellaris Venture Partners and B Capital. Founded in April 2022 by former Zoomcar C-suite executives Hemanth Aluru and Sudhindra Reddy, the Bengaluru-based startup offers financing solutions to small and mid-size enterprises as well as individuals who plan to buy commercial three-wheeler (3W) electric vehicles.

Ola is migrating its IT workload from Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud as well, people involved in the process told ET, after having exited Microsoft’s Azure cloud. For Azure, Ola’s departure would mean a daily revenue loss of Rs5-25 lakh. For AWS, this number would range between Rs 30 and Rs 40 lakh, as per some estimates and disclosures by Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal on X.

India, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), intends to further strengthen the drug regulatory system to ensure quick access to high-quality medical products for all, Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra said on Wednesday. The health secretary started his address by highlighting the similarities of this year's theme, «All for Health, Health for All» with the age-old Indian tradition of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' which means «world is one family», a health ministry statement said. He stated that under this theme, «India launched the 'Ayushman Bharat' meaning Live Long India to promote Universal Health Coverage by operationalizing more than 1,60,000 health and wellness centres (Ayushman Aarogya Mandir)».

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday said the revision in India's rating outlook to positive by S&P reflects solid growth performance and promising outlook for the coming years. India is well on track to become the third-largest economy in the third term of the government and become a Viksit Bharat by 2047, Sitharaman said in a post on X. Earlier in the day, S&P Global Ratings upgraded India's outlook to positive, from stable. This is the first time that S&P has assigned a positive outlook on India's rating. NASA has issued an alert regarding a massive asteroid, designated 2024 JY1, currently on a trajectory towards Earth. Despite its large size, estimated at 160 feet in diameter, and its high speed of 37,070 kilometers per hour, NASA has classified the asteroid as non-hazardous. The asteroid is expected to approach Earth at a distance of about 4.16 million miles, which is more than 17 times the distance to the Moon. The investment in T Steel, a holding company for the shares of Tata Steel’s overseas subsidiaries, will be done over the course of 2024-25.Tata Steel reported a 65% year-on-year decline in its consolidated profit, to ₹554 crore, for the quarter ended 31 March, missing Street estimates.
