cryptocurrency markets were trading higher on Thursday as the US dollar and bond yields hit multi-month lows on mounting bets the Federal Reserve will start cutting interest rates as soon as next March. In Thursday's trade, the global cryptocurrency market cap surged 2.52% to around $1.69 trillion in the last 24 hours. At 12:46 p.m., BTC was trading 1.44% higher at $43,055, while Ethereum was up 6.9% at $2,379. BTC bounced back from the 20 EMA D and is holding above that, signalling a positive trend. Additionally, BTC dominance continues to decline, which is favourable for altcoins. BTC needs to clear the key resistance at $44,500 for further upward movement, said CoinDCX Research Team.

A close above this level may trigger a price surge, with support at US$42,150 on the downside, said Edul Patel, CEO of Mudrex. CoinDCX Research Team said, «BTC has been moving sideways within the range of $41,900 and $44,500 over the past few days, currently sitting at the incline trendline support. If it sustains at this level, there might be a chance for another touch of the resistance level at $44,500.»

XRP, Avalanche, Dogecoin and Polkadot were trading in the red, while BNB, Polygon, Tron, Litecoin, and Chainlink were in the green. Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market cap declined 0.21% to around $1.65 trillion in the last 24 hours. At 12:23 pm, bluechip crypto token BTC was trading 0.6% lower at $42,450, while Ethereum was down 0.2% at $2,227. Altcoins, such as BNB, and Polygon (MATIC) jumped 10.4%, and 20.3%, respectively. On the other hand, Polkadot, Avalanche, Chainlink, and Shiba Inu declined 1-5%.

In a major development, Coinbase Global secured registration with the French markets regulator, a Reuters report said, quoting CNBC. France's AMF watchdog gave Coinbase a virtual asset service provider approval, which is effectively a green light for the company to operate digital currency services in France, according to the report. Bitcoin crossed the $44,000 mark following crucial discussions on Bitcoin ETFs between BlackRock, Nasdaq and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Ripple’s XRP  coin, defying the overall market trend, has shown remarkable resilience, maintaining an upward momentum well above the $0.630 mark. This sustained growth comes amidst a broader market downturn, which saw the total cryptocurrency market cap fall by 2.6% to $1.71 trillion over the past 24 hours.

XRP, Ripple’s native token, has resumed its upward movement, rising by over 2% over the past day generating a whopping $1.19 billion trading volume.

XRP, Dogecoin and Cardano were trading in the red, while BNB, Avalanche, Toncoin and Tron were in the green. Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market cap fell 0.6% to around $1.6 trillion in the last 24 hours. At 11:53 a.m., BTC was trading 0.25% higher at $42,976, while Ethereum was down 1.13% at $2,218. The crypto market seems to have been range-bound with a downward bias in the last 24 hours. BTC underwent slight selling pressure after it crossed the $43k mark. However, on-chain data shows that Bitcoin mining hashrate has continued its uptrend and even reached a new all-time high. This translates into a positive sentiment building within the miners that can also trickle into price action, said CoinSwitch Markets Desk.

The XRP price has remained steady in the past 24 hours, sticking to $0.620626 as the crypto market as a whole rises by 1.5% today.

Reddit users have identified a deepfake video of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse asking XRP holders to transfer coins to a certain address, with the promise of doubling their original investment.

Blockchain payments firm Ripple has successfully obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI).

XRP (0.7%), Solana (7.3%), Avalanche (3.4%), and Tron (1.1%) were trading in the green. At the time of writing, the global cryptocurrency market cap declined by 0.27% to around $1.61 trillion in the last 24 hours. At 12.31 p.m., BTC was trading 0.81% lower at $42,696. In the last 24 hours, the market cap of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, fell to $833 billion. The crypto market performed sideways with an upward bias in the last 24 hours. BTC is back to trading around $43k levels, while ETH is trading around $2.3k. This market movement can be attributed to the Feds as they signaled interest rate cuts for next year, said Parth Chaturvedi, Investments Lead at CoinSwitch Ventures.

Despite a cautiously optimistic technical outlook, Ripple’s XRP  has recently faced a downturn, dropping by 4% amidst a whopping $1.2 billion trading volume.

The XRP price has climbed by 5% in the past 24 hours, rising to $0.632301 on a day when the cryptocurrency market as a whole has made a similar gain.

The abrupt market movement seems to be more of a correction or profit booking, considering BTC's eight consecutive weekly candle closures in the green, said CoinDCX Research Team.

The XRP price has dipped by 0.5% in the past 24 hours, with the coin slipping to $0.620612 after the cryptocurrency market suffered some heavy losses yesterday.

XRP (-0.6%), and Dogecoin (-2.3%) were trading in the red, while BNB (7%), Solana (2.1%), Cardano (4.2%), and Avalanche (15%) were trading in the green. Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market cap declined by 0.21% to around $1.58 trillion in the last 24 hours. At 12.50 p.m., BTC was trading 1.1% lower at $41,786. In the last 24 hours, the market cap of Bitcoin, the world's largest cryptocurrency, fell to $817 billion. Bitcoin has had a rough start to the week with a wick towards $40,300 today. It is now recovering and consolidating near $41,800. As market structure has not yet changed fundamentally, hopes of a rally towards $48,000 remain strong as we lead to the year's end, said Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus Crypto Platform.
