If the price closes above the US$31,000 zone in the coming days, there is a possibility of Bitcoin climbing above the US$32,000 mark in the near future,» Edul added.

However, positive remarks from the CEO of BlackRock prevented further losses, and the cryptocurrency remained stable,» Edul Patel, Co-founder and CEO at Mudrex, said. Meanwhile, CoinDCX Research Team stated, «Bitcoin is holding above the $30,500 levels after the market is awaiting a decision from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on refiling for the spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF).»

Bitcoin continues to trade near $31,000, making it an important resistance level to watch out for in the short term. Some analysts believe the current consolidation could result in an upside breakout in Bitcoin.

The XRP price has dipped by 0.4% in the past 24 hours, amid a slightly bigger dip for the cryptocurrency market as a whole.

Notably, the DeFi sector contributed $2.94 billion, accounting for 7.78% of the overall market volume,» Shivam Thakral, CEO of BuyUcoin, said. «Adding to the excitement, Bitcoin surpassed the $31,000 mark, driven by the euphoria surrounding the application for a Bitcoin ETF. This achievement further fuels optimism and interest in the cryptocurrency market,» he added.

The United States equity markets have witnessed a solid year so far. The Nasdaq Composite has soared 31.7%, its best first-half performance since 1983. Similarly, the S&P 500 Index’s (SPX) 15.9% gain is its best first half since 2019. This suggests that risky assets remain in demand.

Bitcoin (BTC) witnessed a volatile trading session on the last day of the quarter. The bulls were trying to maintain Bitcoin’s price above $31,000 but they received a jolt on a Wall Street Journal report which stated that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had returned applications for the Bitcoin spot-price exchange-traded fund (ETF).

Bitcoin (BTC) surged 1% to $30,657, whereas Ethereum (ETH) was above the $1,850 level. BTC volume stood at approximately $17.3 billion, rising 28.5% in the last 24 hours. «Bitcoin traded over the US$30,600 level gaining nearly 2% in the past 24 hours as the market reacted to Fidelity Investments refiles for spot Bitcoin ETF. Market sentiment was also influenced by the news of Microstrategy buying an additional $374 million worth of Bitcoin,» Edul Patel, Co-founder and CEO at Mudrex, said. BTC's immediate resistance is at the US$30,750 level, and support is at the US$30,420 level, Edul added.

The XRP price has risen by 2% in the past 24 hours, reaching $0.476333 as the wider cryptocurrency market gains by the same percentage today.

A large part of the recent leg of Bitcoin’s rally started after BlackRock filed to list a spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) on June 15. Several applications by other firms have been rejected by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in the past. However, BlackRock’s filing has a 50% possibility of getting approved, said Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas. 

The XRP price has dipped by 0.5% in the past 24 hours, falling to $0.475928 as the cryptocurrency market as a whole suffers a similar fall in the same timeframe.
