Venkatesh said 2023 saw the Taj brand strengthen its presence in key metro and commercial cities with 381 rooms in Delhi, 112 rooms in Cochin and forayed in international markets of Dhaka and Bhutan. «Vivanta and SeleQtions together added 17 hotels while Ginger on the back of its lean luxe positioning signed 6 new hotels.
This accelerated portfolio growth is a testament to the trust of partners in IHCL’s reimagined brandscape,» she added. IHCL's portfolio includes 84 operating hotels of the Taj brand with 21 in the pipeline.
SeleQtions has 24 operating hotels with 14 in the pipeline, while Vivanta has 29 operating hotels with 25 in the pipeline.
Deepika Rao, executive vice president – hotel openings and new businesses at IHCL said the pace of opening new hotels has brought the chain to the 200th operating hotel milestone with the launch of Gorbandh Palace, Jaisalmer.
