This year, Microsoft’s India president Anant Maheshwari left the Seattle-headquartered firm’s India operations after seven years to return to technology conglomerate Honeywell, where he worked between 2004 and 2016.
Replacing Maheshwari, Microsoft named Puneet Chandok as president of Microsoft India and South Asia. Previously, Chandok worked as the president of Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led the company’s India and South Asia business.
Social networking giant Meta also elevated Sandhya Devanathan to the role of vice president and India head, from her earlier position of vice president of Asia-Pacific (APAC) gaming. She has been with the company since 2016, and has served as its country managing director for Singapore earlier.
Devanathan replacedAjit Mohan as Meta's India head. Mohan left the company last year to join Snap as its Asia Pacific president.
Meanwhile, Snap Inc, the parent company of the messaging app Snapchat, named former Google executive Pulkit Trivedi as its managing director for India in September, indicating the company’s focus on generating revenue from its service in the country.
This was the first time Snap appointed a managing director exclusively for India. Trivedi previously served as the director of Google Pay for the India business team.
