1. Digital Talent Surge: The tech sector, employing over 5.4 million, craves digital skills like AI, Big Data Analytics, and IoT. The rise in digital tech talent, driven by the increase in digital transformation, shows a gap exceeding 50%. Core tech talent has remained relatively stable over the past three years, maintaining a workforce ranging between 2.5 – 2.6 million professionals. This stability is attributed to the maturity of core tech roles.
2. Skill Chasm vs. Surge: India leads in reskilling, embracing AI, Cybersecurity, Quantum Computing and AI. Specifically in areas like AI, the demand-supply gap remains high, and niche skills in Cloud Computing – Hybrid Cloud expertise and Infrastructure as Code are much in demand.
