5 children, 1 adult injured in school bus crash on highway north of Calgary
globalnews.caDidsbury RCMP are at the scene of a crash involving a school bus that had children on board. Didsbury RCMP say an officer came across a school bus rollover on Highway 2A at Township Road 320 at around 10:20 a.m. Monday.
The bus contained numerous students. EMS responded to the crash shortly before 10:30 a.m. Police say there were nine students, two teachers and the driver on the bus at the time of collision.
Six people were transported to various hospitals via ground ambulance for a range of injuries, some considered serious, but not life threatening. Police say poor road conditions are believed to have contributed to the crash, but the collision is still under investigation. Highway 2A between Township Road 320 and 314 is currently closed.
