Economic Times (ET): When was NSRCEL set up and what was the idea behind it? -
Chaitali Pandey (CP): The NSRCEL was set up in 2000 at IIM, Bangalore. The center was established with the primary aim of promoting and nurturing entrepreneurship in India by offering a range of resources, mentorship, and training to aspiring entrepreneurs. The idea behind NSRCEL was to create an ecosystem that supports early-stage startups, helping them transform their innovative ideas into successful ventures. The center focuses on providing support to entrepreneurs through incubation programs. It also engages in research on entrepreneurship and fosters collaboration between academic institutions, government bodies, and the startup ecosystem. Additionally, NSRCEL has been instrumental in helping entrepreneurs scale their businesses by providing access to networks, funding, and expertise in areas like marketing, finance, and operations.
