Filming and Release Date
The Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, is currently in production. Filming began in Northern Ireland on June 18, 2024. George R.R. Martin announced that the show is expected to arrive in early 2025. This series will consist of six episodes.
Cast and Characters
The cast of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms includes several notable actors. Finn Bennett, known for his role in True Detective Season 4, will portray Aerion Targaryen. Bertie Carvel will play Baelor Targaryen, and Sam Spruell will take on the role of Maekar Targaryen. Young actor Dexter Sol Ansell will play Egg, while Peter Claffey will portray Dunk, also known as Ser Duncan the Tall. Other cast members include Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle and Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon. Owen Harris, known for his work on Black Mirror, is the executive producer and will direct the first three episodes.
