Bollywood actor Aayush Sharma recently opened up on tasting failure in his first film, the romantic drama ‘Loveyatri’. The film, released in 2018, came and went, without creating a ripple at the box-office. Since his debut movie was a debacle, the actor had to face much trolling and many aspersions were cast on his character. Throughout the years, many have alleged that he married Khan’s sister Arpita to gain a foothold in the industry and that he was “wasting” his brother-in-law's resources. In a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sharma claimed that when he got hitched to Arpita, he told the ‘Dabangg’ star upfront that he didn’t want to be an actor as he didn’t think he had it in him. Khan dismissed his insecurities and offered to train him.
“People don't know that when I got married I told Salman Khan that I don't want to pursue acting. I told him ‘Trust me, I gave 300 auditions and couldn’t even crack two, I can't do it.' Salman said ‘Son your training is not good, I’ll train you…” recounted Sharma.
The actor was devastated by ‘Loveyatri’s failure and upon hearing its sorry fate at the box-office, he sought forgiveness from Khan. “The narrative was created that I am blowing up my brother-in-law's money. Should I share my income tax details? When Salman called me during Loveyatri, I had tears in my eyes. I said ‘Sorry, I blew up your money.’ When Antim's digital rights were sold to satellite and OTT platforms, I was relieved,” he revealed.
Sharma will next be seen in the action thriller ‘Ruslaan’.
