An employee at ABN Amro last month found out he had been made redundant from the car park attendant at the Dutch bank's headquarters in London.
Sources at ABN Amro said the man came into work as normal on Friday, May 23 and parked his car in the staff car park. When he came to leave that evening, his car park pass did not work. He asked the attendant to check the pass, only to be informed that it had been blocked because he was going to be made redundant the following Tuesday.
