Mark Zuckerberg may not have had a great relationship with current US President-elect Donald Trump but it now looks like he is preparing to repair this relationship by donating a whopping $1 million for the inauguration ceremony scheduled in January. At the start of the next year, Donald Trump will be taking over the role of US President from Joe Biden, and his swearing-in ceremony is reportedly going to be one of the grandest ones in US history.
By adding in his funds to this inauguration ceremony, Zuckerberg will reportedly get some major advantage and come into the good books of the soon-to-be US President. But, what's more striking is the fact that he finally took a call to submit himself amid this huge power shift. It is note-worthy that Meta Platforms is now having a stellar run at Wall Street, and is quite reliant on its AI-based R&D for its surreal growth. The US Government's support will go a long way to help the company as well as Zuckerberg himself, and this is being seen as a stepping stone towards establishing cordial relations.
Moreover, Zuckerberg's biggest competitor in the world of technology is Elon Musk, who is as close to Trump as anyone can get at the moment. Therefore, establishing himself before the upcoming President must have been of prime importance for the Meta CEO.
