NDTV says that Congress is likely to be the next in line to face the sharp end of the dagger as several are in talks with Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). The report cited people familiar with the developments in BJP.  The report citing information within BJP said that two key leaders of the Congress have been in talks with the saffron party leaders and discussions have been on for a while and is now in an advanced stage.

This would only add to the defection woes, Maharashtra's partisan politics have been facing since Eknath Shinde's sensational mutiny brought about a governance change in the state.  Earlier on Tuesday, Forest Minister of Maharashtra, Sudhir Mungantiwar had told news agency ANI that several leaders in Congress are ‘are unhappy with their parties because their leaders are full of selfishness’. “Not only Congress but there are also several people who are unhappy with their parties because their leaders are full of selfishness.
