The Bollywood movie, which boasts a stellar cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Yash in pivotal roles, has hit a roadblock.
The 'Darlings' actress — who was being considered for the role of Sita in the movie, has decided to step away from the project, according to a report in Pinkvilla. The reports suggested that the collaboration between Bhatt and the makers didn't work out due to date issues.
However, Kapoor is said to be determined to play the role of Lord Ram in the mythological movie.
As the cast hasn't been finalised yet, the film's production schedule has also encountered delays.
The movie won't go on the floor in December as initially planned. It is expected to be a three-part film, which is reportedly still in the pre-production phase.

Earlier, speculations were abuzz on social media that the Kannada superstar had withdrawn from the project. However, new reports have put the rumours to rest.
The Pinkvilla report stated that the 'KGF' star is being considered for the role of Raavan and the discussions are in progress.
Sources told Pinkvilla, a few days ago, that Yash has undergone multiple look tests for the pivotal role of Raavan.
Tiwari will co-direct the project alongside Ravi Udhyawar. 'Ramayana' will retell the tale of Lord Ram.
Meanwhile, Bhatt was recently seen in film-maker Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', opposite Ranveer Singh.
