Joey Chestnut will take on Takeru Kobayashi, in the hot dog eating matchup at Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest on Labor Day, September 2, reports the 'ABC News'. It will be streamed live on Netflix. «Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef,» will be held for the first time since they faced each other way back in 2009. Earlier, chestnut said he learned from the media that he was not allowed to take in this year’s contest because he chose to represent plant-based food giant Impossible Food.
According to 'Forbes', Major League Eating, the group that runs the contest, announced to “accommodate Joey and his management team” and expressed hope that «he returns when he is not representing a rival brand.” Meanwhile, Chestnut said in a statement that Kobayashi is his “fiercest rival,”. He also said that the fans have waited a long time for another chapter of the rivalry.

He won the Nathan's contest six times before he was banned from competing because of a contract dispute.
ESPN has reported that Kobayashi announced his retirement last month on health grounds. However, he told Netflix that retiring for him will only happen after he takes Chestnut down one last time.
