Sam Bahadur’ has become the talk of town thanks to leading man Vicky Kaushal’s impeccable performance as Sam Manekshaw, India’s first Field Marshal.
On Monday, dairy giant Amul paid a touching tribute to the Meghna Gulzar directorial. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Amul shared a colourful animation of the movie’s poster. The picture has Vicky Kaushal as Sam Manekshaw, looking dashing in a uniform.
Dropping the picture, Amul wrote, “#Amul Topical: Biographical war drama on India’s first field marshal!”
The picture had the caption, “Sam Maskashaw’.
Kaushal later thanked the dairy brand for the super special shoutout. Sharing the poster, Kaushal wrote, “Iss Amul-ya pyaar ke liye shukriya, Sweetie!!””

Despite facing stiff competition from the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Animal’, Vicky Kaushal’s film remained steady at the box-office. The movie earned a modest Rs 6.25 crore on its opening day. However, from the second day, it gradually gained momentum, earning Rs 9 crore. On the third day, it collected Rs 10.3 crore. As per a Sacnilk.com report, the movie crossed Rs 25 crore in three days of its release.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar (of ‘Raazi’ fame), the movie traces the life and times of Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw, India’s first Field Marshal who led the Indian Army to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war and also liberated Bangladesh the erstwhile East Pakistan.
Aside from Kaushal, the movie also stars Sanya Malhotra as Silloo Manekshaw, his wife.
