Direct selling company Amway India on Monday announced an investment of $4 million in four research and development labs across India.
Amway India, ultimate wholly owned subsidiary of the US $ 7.7 billion Amway Corporation, said in a statement that the investment would be infused on strengthening scientific capabilities and support in health and wellbeing.
Rajneesh Chopra, managing director, Amway India, said: “There is a need for a transformative approach to nutrition and wellness in India, as the health landscape here faces significant challenges related to nutrition, lifestyle and gut health.”
The four R&D labs are located in Gurugram, Chennai, Bengaluru and Dindigul, the company, which makes Nutrilite vitamins and dietary supplement brand, Artistry skin-care and Glister toothpaste, said.
Stating that India is a top priority market for the US-based global direct selling company, Chopra said: “This investment underscores the confidence of Amway Global in India and potential to drive innovation in the health and wellbeing space.”
