Euphoria' star Angus Cloud, the cause of his death was revealed on Thursday. According to the Alameda County Coroner, the actor died as a result of intoxication due to the combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines. Cloud died on July 31, 2023, at the age of 25.
He portrayed drug dealer Fezco in 'Euphoria', HBO’s Emmy-winning drama from Sam Levinson and starring Zendaya.
'Euphoria' paid tribute to the actor on its official X account. It said, «We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.»
In a statement issued after his death, his family said, «It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.»
It said further, «Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.»
Angus Cloud attended an album release party just a few days before his death. He appeared to be in good spirits as he was partying it up with a bunch of people.
After his death, his friends came together to paint a mural in Oakland. His Euphoria co-star Zendaya posted a photo of this mural on social media where she wrote, «Words are not enough to describe the infinite
