Well-known tech journalist Mark Gurman highlighted in his Power on newsletter for Bloomberg that the Apple budget-friendly model will receive some of the latest advancements from the brand. Face ID will, for instance, substitute traditional Touch ID. Apple Intelligence—Apple's AI-driven features—may also be integrated into this device if this happens. It will be the first iPhone SE to support such technology, thereby bridging the gap between the budget and premium lineups under one typical Apple umbrella.
A price increase is apparently in the works in addition to these improvements to the hardware and software. Gurman speculates that the price of the new model, which is presently $429, would go up to about $500. Although Apple has traditionally positioned the iPhone SE series as its most cheap model, these notable advancements make the price point more reasonable.

He also pointed out that despite this increase, the device is expected to remain a solid value proposition, especially for users upgrading from much older iPhones. The new A18 processor, an advanced camera system, and improved facial recognition technology will make this SE model one of the most feature-packed iterations yet.
