Asia Cup 2023 final has become a sold-out spectacle. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced on Sunday that all tickets for the epic clash between Sri Lanka and India have been snapped up, leaving cricket fans in anticipation.
Fans have been advised by SLC not to rush to ticket counters or the venue, as there are no more tickets available for purchase.
Those fortunate enough to secure tickets are urged to arrive early to avoid any last-minute congestion.
The final match is scheduled to commence at 15:00 IST, and the gates at RPICS, Colombo, opened at noon to welcome ticket-holding spectators.
As of Saturday, tickets for all spectator stands had been completely sold out. Only a limited number of tickets, just over 100, remained available for the grandstand at a premium price of SLR 40,000 (approximately $125).
On Sunday morning, SLC officially confirmed the complete sell-out of tickets for the final encounter.
However, reports suggest that the rapid ticket sales were, in part, driven by individuals looking to profit from the black market.
The excitement surrounding this final has drawn thousands of Indian fans to Colombo, where India is set to play its 11th Asia Cup final. Of the 15 previous finals, India has emerged victorious in seven, while Sri Lanka has claimed victory in six.
Today's final marks Sri Lanka's impressive 13th appearance in theAsia Cup final, adding to the excitement and anticipation surrounding this highly anticipated cricket showdown.
