Baba Siddique Murder: Accused Sujeet Sushil Singh arrested from Ludhiana provided logistical assistance, say police
Mumbai Police in a joint operation with Punjab Police has apprehended Sujeet Sushil Singh, a resident of Mumbai, wanted in the high profile murder of Baba Siddique.
«Sujeet was involved in the murder conspiracy and was informed about the plan to kill Baba Siddique three days in advance by Nitin Gautan Sapre-another accused. He also provided logistical assistance,» DGP Punjab police Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday in a post on X.
Singh has been handed over to Mumbai Police for further investigation, the Punjab DGP said.
Meanwhile, nine people arrested in the Baba Siddiqui murder case were on Friday presented before a court in Mumbai which extended their police remand till October 26.
Nine accused, who were arrested on various dates, were produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (Esplanade Court) V R Patil, after after their police custody came to an end today.
