The government is set to grill the Bank of England over why HSBC was chosen to rescue the UK arm of collapsed lender Silicon Valley Bank.
Senior leaders at the UK regulator will give evidence to the Treasury Committee on 28 March on the collapse of SVB UK including being asked a number of probing questions on why HSBC was the bank chosen.
