Barbra Streisand to receive 2024 SAG Life Achievement Award
Barbra Streisand has been announced as the recipient of the 59th SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award in recognition of her outstanding career achievements and humanitarian contributions. The prestigious honor will be presented at the 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, set to stream live on Netflix on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The ceremony will be held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
The SAG Life Achievement Award is presented to individuals who embody the «finest ideals of the acting profession.» Renowned for her multifaceted career, Streisand has garnered numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, ten Grammys, five Emmy Awards, three Peabody Awards, and a Tony Award. Notably, she has also ventured into directing, with films such as «Yentl,» «The Prince of Tides,» and «The Mirror Has Two Faces,» all earning Academy Award nominations. The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards promises to be a celebration of Streisand's exceptional contributions to the entertainment industry.
