Ahmed, also known as Kala, aged 24, and Mohammed Zeeshan Pasha, aged 20, both residents of Govindapura, were arrested, while their two accomplices remain at large. The authorities were able to seize two swords and recover two stolen scooters during the arrests, leading to the resolution of two robbery cases and two vehicle theft cases reported in Banasawadi, Sampigehalli, and DJ Halli police stations. The first incident took place on July 19 when the suspects targeted Nitesh Bhatia, a private firm employee returning home in his car at 3 am.
As Bhatia was driving along Kammanahalli Main Road, two assailants intercepted his vehicle and smashed the car window. They brandished a sword, demanding his valuables. Despite resisting, Bhatia suffered injuries to both his hands in the ensuing attack.
In order to avoid further harm, he surrendered Rs 1,300 to the robbers, who promptly fled the scene. Bhatia sought medical attention for his injuries and filed a police complaint. Just two days later, on July 21, the same duo, along with their associates, targeted another victim, Raghu P, a 31-year-old employee of an e-commerce company.
Raghu was walking along the roadside near Narayanapura Cross in Hegde Nagar at 5 am when four men on two scooters blocked his path. Sensing danger, Raghu attempted to flee, but unfortunately, he lost balance and fell. The robbers took advantage of the situation, snatching his mobile phone and striking his leg with a sword.
