Karnataka Congress leader DK Suresh conceded defeat to BJP's Dr CN Manjunath in the Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency. Suresh trailed by 253487 votes as per Election Commission of India's (ECI) latest update. Manjunath leads with a massive 1028966 votes, as against Suresh's 775479 votes.

The Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency comprises eight assembly segments: Kunigal, Rajarajeshwarinagar, Bengaluru South, Anekal, Magadi, Ramanagara, Kanakapura, and Channapatna.
Suresh is the brother of the state's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, while Manjunath is the son-in-law of former India Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.
An interaction with the media, Suresh said, This is the public life. We have to accept all these things, the defeat that people of the constituency have given. I congratulate Dr Manjunath for leading… I thank all my workers and leaders for being my strength… INDIA alliance has come forward and is winning more seats and we are looking forward to forming the government."
