The Bengaluru Rural Lok Sabha constituency comprises eight assembly segments: Kunigal, Rajarajeshwarinagar, Bengaluru South, Anekal, Magadi, Ramanagara, Kanakapura, and Channapatna.
Suresh is the brother of the state's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, while Manjunath is the son-in-law of former India Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.
