UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) department has issued a crucial advisory to Indian nationals applying for UK visas, urging them to stay vigilant against potential fraud.
Scammers often impersonate officials, claim expedited visa processing, or request payments through unauthorized channels. UKVI emphasized that it will never reach out through social media, request payments by email or personal bank accounts, or guarantee visa approvals in exchange for third-party payments. All payments for UK visa services should be made exclusively via GOV.UK or its verified partners.
Indian nationals emerged as the largest recipients of UK visas across Visit, Study, and Work categories for the year ending June 2024.
