Bharatendu Kabi, one of the auto industry veterans and the Communication and CSR Head at Hero MotoCorp, is moving on after nearly two decades of service with the company.
“Bharatendu’s strategic guidance has been instrumental, especially during critical moments like the separation from our former joint venture partner Honda in 2010-11. His contributions have played a significant role in strengthening our brand presence,” Niranjan Gupta, Hero MotoCorp CEO said in a regulatory filing by the company with the stock exchanges today.
“Additionally, he was also a key member in spearheading our engagements with various sports associations worldwide, spanning from Motosports to Cricket. In 2021, he took on the added responsibility of leading our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Under his leadership, we made significant progress in creating a greener, safer, and more equitable society,” he added.
“Being part of Hero MotoCorp has absolutely been the opportunity of a lifetime and an honor and privilege which I will cherish forever,” Bharatendu told ET while declining to share his next port of call.
He is currently serving his notice period, on the completion of which he will exit Hero MotoCorp on July 31st.
