US Democratic party are reported to have given a two-week grace period to Biden to improve his approval rating on the various national surveys. This comes in wake of what many are considering to be a disastrous performance by Biden in the last presidential debate. Many donors indicated that it will be tough for them to stomach Biden’s falling numbers and possible loss in the presidential election. Biden seem to be confident of his chances and has refused to step down from the contest against Trump. The donors have asked Biden to take action and fix the falling survey numbers, according to the New York Post.
The Democratic National Financial Committee had an hour-long Zoom call with the donors and assured them that the internal surveys still show that Biden is leading on all fronts. It has been reported that the donors had several concerns regarding the first presidential debate. They pointed out that the president had a period of two weeks and will have to improve his numbers. They added that it will become problematic for them beyond that.
