Lok Sabha polls, and exuded confidence that the coalition would win all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Deputy Chief Minister and Bihar BJP president Samrat Chaudhary, senior JD(U) leader Shrawan Kumar, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president Upendra Kushwaha were among the leaders who spoke to reporters at the airport here.
The NDA leaders are headed to Gaya, where Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) founder, Jitan Ram Manjhi, is scheduled to file his nomination papers.
Later, they are slated to visit Nawada, where nominations will be filed by BJP candidate Vivek Thakur, and Jamui, which Chirag Paswan, the two-term MP, has given up for brother-in-law Arun Bharti.
BJP MP Sushil Kumar Singh had filed his nomination from the Aurangabad seat earlier this week.
«Today is the last day of filing nominations for the first phase of Lok Sabha polls. Our campaign will start now… three NDA candidates will file their nomination papers today. Our target is to win all the 40 seats in Bihar,» Chaudhary said.
Voting will take place in Bihar in seven phases on April 19, 26, May 7, 13, 20, 25 and June 1. The results will be declared on June 4.
