Meanwhile, Bihar's Revenue Minister and BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal resigned from his ministerial post, citing the BJP's «One Person, One Post» policy. Jaiswal, appointed as BJP's Bihar state president in January, expressed his gratitude to the central leadership for the new responsibility.
Jaiswal's resignation could trigger further reshuffling in Nitish Kumar's cabinet. In response to the cabinet expansion, Jaiswal stated that such decisions were at the discretion of the Chief Minister.
