Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the redevelopment work of Munger Railway Station in Bihar is going on in full swing. On Sunday, the Ministry of Railways shared a progress report and informed that work is in progress in:
a) Facade work
b) Commercial building
c) Road improvement
d) Drainage system
e) Parking area
Munger railway station is operated by Eastern Railways and has two platforms and three railway tracks. It serves Munger city in the Munger district in Bihar. Its station code is MGR. It comes under the Malda division. Upon completion, the railway station will offer modern amenities and improved accessibility for Indian Railways’ passengers.

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Indian Railways has embarked on the task of redevelopment of 1309 railway stations across India. Out of these, 86 railway stations (including Munger Railway Station) will be transformed in India’s Bihar state.
