The campaign will pay tribute to Kalam, an icon for the Pasmanda Muslims, through various programmes at the district level, BJP's minority Morcha Jamal Siddiqui said.
The BJP has been celebrating Kalam's birth and death anniversary and despite minorities consolidation against the party in 2024 polls. It is continuing with these programmes.
A wreath will be laid on the Kalam Memorial on July 27, and BJP national president JP Nadda is likely to attend the event as a chief guest.
Similar programmes will be held at the district level across the country, where wreaths will be laid on Kalam's statues or portraits.
The campaign will also feature a medical camp and a social media campaign, «Yuva Udhyami Award,» which will select 5 individuals from each state. Nominations for the award will be accepted until August 6, and the results will be announced on August 12.
