Narendra Modi on Saturday said BJP will form the government in Jammu and Kashmir by winning an absolute majority in the ongoing assembly elections in the union territory.
Addressing an election rally in Jammu ahead of the third and last phase of the elections on October 1, Modi said, «In the last two phases heavy voter turnout has conveyed the mood of people of J&K as they have voted in favour of BJP. We are destined to form the government here with absolute majority.»
Modi reiterated his government would restore statehood of J&K.
He remembered the surgical strike on terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) carried out on the night of September 28, 2016, in response to the Uri terror attack.
The surgical strike announced to the world the arrival of new India that believes in taking the attack home, he said. «Since then, kingpins of terrorism know that if they do any misadventure, Modi will get them even from the cosmic subterranean.»
