Black Mirror created by Charlie Brooker is returning for a seventh season. The series has been renewed by Netflix and will stream on its platform. The sixth season ended in June which had premiered four years after the fifth season of the show.
The science fiction series, is mostly set in the near-future dystopias, has gone through several iterations since it was launched on the UK’s Channel 4 in 2011. The show was given a budget boost after Netflix picked it up in 2016.
The sixth season had reached the top of Netflix's Streaming Top 10 in 92 countries when the show premiered in June and remained in Netflix's global top 10 English-speaking TV for four weeks.
The sixth season which consisted of five episodes had a host of stars including Salma Hayek, Annie Murphy, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett and Paapa Essiedu. Meanwhile, season 5 just had three parts and the cast members included Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace and Miley Cyrus.
The casting for season 7 has not yet been confirmed while the details about the series such as plot, number of episodes are still being kept under the wraps.
