Blink Charging (BLNK) announced Wednesday its intention for its UK subsidiary to mark World EV Day on September 9 by contributing profits made from its UK chargers.
Blink’s participation aims to underscore the company’s commitment towards mitigating air pollution across the United Kingdom and emphasize the significant positive effect EV adoption can have on air quality.
Blink Charging UK will donate the earnings generated from EV charging on their chargers across the entirety of September 9 to support initiatives dedicated to eliminating lung ailments like asthma. The size of the donation will be directly linked to the total volume of charging activity by drivers – the greater the number of charging sessions, the more substantial the contribution.
EV drivers can participate in the “Charge for Charity” initiative simply by charging their cars at a Blink charger on September 9.
Shares of BLNK are down 3.15% in afternoon trading on Wednesday.
