Bones, hair & Rs 1,500 crore fraud: Mumbai’s famous Lilavati Hospital trustees make shocking black magic claim before Holi
Lilavati Hospital, one of the country’s most reputed healthcare institutions, is at the centre of an explosive controversy. The Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust (LKMMT), which runs the hospital, has accused its former trustees of siphoning off over Rs 1,500 crore through fraudulent transactions, kickbacks, and illegal offshore deals.
But it doesn’t end there. The trust has also alleged that black magic rituals were conducted within the hospital premises, with human remains discovered beneath the floor of the current trustees' office. The accusations, bizarre yet serious, have resulted in multiple FIRs and a growing legal battle.

Permanent Resident Trustee Prashant Mehta laid out the details, “The forensic auditors have submitted more than five reports, clearly stating that over Rs 1,500 crore was misappropriated by an illegal group of former trustees. Many of these individuals are NRIs based in Dubai and Belgium.”
Among the key findings of the audit:
