user engagement, said industry executives.
The likes of AppsForBharat, Vama.app, Astrotalk and DevDham witnessed significant growth this Navratri, which ended on October 12, and are gearing up for Diwali, which falls on November 1, they said.
“Because of Navratri, we launched new products and services,” Manu Jain, founder of Blume Ventures-backed Vama.app, told ET. “As a result, we are seeing an uptick of 20-25% (month-on-month) in new users overall. Our revenue for the last week of September so far is showing a week-on-week growth of over 20%.”
The New Delhi-based startup enables users to book virtual puja, as well as temple darshans and rituals, besides offering astrology services.
“There are more organic searches on the platform. However, I expect a significant increase to come closer to Diwali, as the real festive period is around that time. Therefore, we are planning everything for the last week of October,” Jain said.
