monthly contracts of single stock derivatives will change to the second Thursday of a calendar month effective July 1, 2024, BSE on Tuesday said in a notice.
All the existing monthly contracts of stock derivatives in equity derivatives segment with expiry day as last Thursday of a calendar month (if Thursday is holiday then previous working day) will get expired on June 28, 2024, and will be removed from contract master file at end of day of June 28, the notice said further.
These contracts will not be available for trading from Monday, July 1, 2024, it said.
New contracts of stock derivatives with three serial monthly expiry days with expiry day as second Thursday of the calendar month (if Thursday is holiday then previous working day) will be generated on June 28, 2024 end of day in the equity derivatives segment for trading with effect from July 01, 2024.
There is no change in expiry day of any other contracts of the equity derivatives segment.
The move comes as part of a partial modification to the exchange notice number dated September 8, 2021, and February 8, 2024, regarding change in expiry day of stock derivatives in equity derivatives segment.
In another notice released by BSE on Tuesday, the exchange revised transaction charges for equity derivatives segment effective from May 13, 2024.
The notice said the transaction charges as per the respective current methodology for S&P BSE Sensex options and S&P BSE Bankex options will continue to be levied for the period between May 1 and May 10, 2024.
The
