Namjoon shared the song on his Instagram Story. However, it did not sit well with a certain section of K-pop fans as they felt it was Islamophobic. Several netizens trended the hashtag «NamjoonApologizeToMuslims on the microblogging website 'X' formerly known as Twitter. One Twitter user chastised RM for sharing a 'Islamophobic' song and called him out for spreading hatred against Muslims. „Insulting 2 billion people just like that knowing that a lot of armys are Muslims and coming from the leader of BTS and the unicef ambassador is clearly disrespectful and inconsiderate Some lines should never be crossed no matter what.“ Another wrote, „I'm not a bts hater.But as a muslim, it really hurts.Atleast in this case,If you supprt RM then be ready to face Allah and answer for this.
