As the battery emerges as the single most valuable component in the vehicle of the future – the electric vehicle – the race is on to develop new and improved technologies in this area.
This week on Down to Business, Maciej Jastrzebski, co-founder and chief technology officer of Markham-based Li-Metal, talks about his work on next generation batteries.
Jastrzebski spent years consulting for mining companies, but in 2018, started Li Metal to help build the upstream supply chain.
Since then, his company has developed new ways to make lithium metal, and new ways to produce lithium foil that can be used in anodes for next generation batteries. As always the interview is edited for clarity and brevity.
