Anthony Mackie was first seen as Captain America in the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier where he was seen playing the role of Sam Wilson. According to the Marvel storyline, Chris Evans who was the initial Captain America since the World War handed over his shield to Wilson after attaining old age during Avengers: Endgame. Evans's journey ended as Captain America from thereon and Wilson took on from there.

The film, announced a long time ago has been slated for release in 2025. This new superhero film is directed by Julius Onah and casts Harrison Ford, Sebastian Stan, Tim Blake Nelson, Anthony Mackie, Liv Tyler, Rosa Salazar, Danny Ramirez and others.
