Ranveer Brar, known for his recent appearance in 'Modern Love Stories: Mumbai,' has launched a new restaurant in Dubai called Kashkan. Located in Dubai's Festival City Mall, the restaurant offers a pan-Indian menu that spans the length and breadth of the country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, reflecting its name.
Brar's venture into the culinary world with Kashkan came after dedicating two months to perfecting the restaurant's diverse menu.
During this period, he made exciting discoveries, such as the Naga black sesame chicken, a dish that captures the flavors of Nagaland.
What sets Kashkan apart is its commitment to preserving the authenticity of its dishes, with no room for experimentation. When questioned about delving into Modern/Progressive Indian Cuisine, Brar expressed that he is not currently pursuing that direction, though he does not rule it out for the future.
Brar's vision for Kashkan goes beyond just food; it aims to be a platform for celebrating the diversity and versatility of Indian cuisine.
He stated, «Kashkan is a conversation about the diversity and versatility of our cuisine. I wanted it to be a connecting thread between the innumerable flavors and stories that I have experienced and collected in my culinary journey.
The menu I've curated brings together handpicked dishes from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, seamlessly blending nostalgia with innovation to create memorable experiences for our patrons.»
Looking ahead, Brar is set to appear as a celebrity judge on the next edition of MasterChef India, alongside Vikas Khanna and Puja Dhingra. This season marks the show's transition to the OTT platform SonyLIV, adding to the excitement surrounding the popular cooking competition.
