Before this, he held the position of Deputy Director at the Space Infrastructure Programme Office at ISRO's main office.
He played a crucial role in the Chandrayaan-2 mission, the second edition of India's ambitious moon exploration series. Hailing from Villupuram in Tamil Nadu, he is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M). The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), located in Thumba, Kerala, was responsible for developing the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mark-III, now known as Launch Vehicle Mark-III.
