Congress has nominated MS Raksha Ramaiah, son of former minister MR Seetharam, while the BJP has fielded Dr. K Sudhakar, former health minister. Both promise to address the long-standing water issues, with Ramaiah focusing on hi-tech flower markets and Sudhakar highlighting his past work on healthcare and water projects.
In TOI report, Chandre Gowda of Devanahalli said, “In this region, Congress is the traditional opponent of JD(S). So, most JD(S) workers may support BJP.”
Sudhakar said, “People of both Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru Rural are aware of the work I have done, including upgradation of primary healthcare centres, and filling up over 65 tanks from the HN Valley project. Besides JD(S) support, PM Modi’s popularity and people’s desire to elect him as prime minister again will help me win.”
