Xoriant has hired former LTIMindtree executive Mukund Rao as president for global markets, ET has learnt.
Based in the US, Rao was the chief business officer of the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) vertical at LTIMindtree (with Mindtree before the merger with L&T Infotech) for over four years.
Prior to LTIMindtree, Rao worked for seven years at global rival Cognizant leaving as vice president & managing partner in November 2019.
Rao has over 20 years of experience in the software services industry starting his first 10 years at mid-sized IT firm Mphasis.
US-headquartered Xoriant provides services and solutions focused on digital product engineering, cloud infrastructure and operation across sectors like BFSI, high tech, healthcare, pharma, industrial manufacturing, retail, telecommunications and automotives.
The company has around 3,100 employees and reported a revenue of around $178 million in FY23.
In January 2023, India focused private equity player Chryscapital had acquired majority stake in US-based Xoriant for $250 million.
Following the acquisition, Xoriant appointed HCLTech’s former corporate VP Sukamal Banerjee as its new CEO in March last year. It also boosted it leadership by onboarding Wipro’s Nithin Jaganmohan as its chief financial officer and former chief digital officer of Tata Technologies, Abhijit Deokule as Xoriant’s chief operating officer.
